Current Needs

Camp Unity Eastside has discontinued the shelter portion of the organization for now due to the large number of residents who moved to housing in 2022 and the inability to meet local permit and host requirements for an outdoor encampment with very low resident numbers.  The Camp Unity Board is considering options and the best way to continue to serve those without homes while also meeting the needs and requirements of church hosts and local governments.    As part of this transition, Camp Unity Eastside as an organization will continue and stay in contact with residents who moved to apartments for at least one year to help support transition needs and maintain stable housing, per our commitment under the Emergency Housing Voucher Program.    Gift cards for grocery stores such as Safeway or basic household items like paper towels or coffee continue to be very helpful.  If you would like to assist in this way, please email Lori Peckol, CUE volunteer, peckolvanwormer@gmail.com
