We’re so thankful for your willingness to help with Camp Unity’s move from Bear Creek United Methodist Church to Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. As one of the move volunteers observed, this was one of the wettest moves we’ve experienced for some time and despite the conditions, you persevered and made it possible for us to get through this and complete the move.

Shortly after we completed setting up all the individual tents and canopies on Saturday, the rain really came down. We were so glad that at least everyone had some shelter. Despite the rain and the tough muddy conditions, the move was completed in record time.

A few of the volunteers asked about the dates for the camp’s next moves. The upcoming move dates are May 8 and 9 and then September 18 and 19. If there are any changes we will let you know.

In the meantime, if you’re sharing with others about Camp Unity Eastside and are asked how can we help, one of the biggest ways is by signing up to bring a warm dinner to the camp. The camp has meal sign-ups for most of the next week though after that there are a lot of openings on the meal calendar in January and February. This is an especially challenging time of year, and help with warm dinners is so important.

Thank you again – we are very grateful for your support and encouragement,

Camp Unity Eastside residents and board members
